Well I have given this a few listens now, and I’ll admit at first I really wasn’t sure what I thought.  Alt-rockers Garbage have been known to surprise and branch out with their sound in the past and this is no exception.  Featuring alongside lead singer Shirley Manson, barely noticeable vocals from Brian Aubert of the Silver Sun Pickups, this is a pounding, industrial-rave explosion, both haunting and quite powerful.  The video is directed by regular Garbage collaborator Sophie Muller and seems to set the tone of the song very well indeed.  Apparently it’s from footage shot in a London club and harks back to punk dance clubs of yesteryear, something I’d say the track is reminiscing over.

Garbage once again thrill me with their ideas and breaking of genre conventions.  Hope you like.  The single is part of a limited edition vinyl release exclusively for Record Store Day and will be officially made available on Saturday 18 April 2015.
